Why Every High School Student Should Keep a "Success Folder"

Scholarships, college applications, internships, and leadership programs often ask for the same information: awards, volunteer hours, leadership roles, transcripts, recommendation contacts, and examples of your accomplishments. Many students wait until deadlines arrive, then scramble to find everything.

Build It Over Time

Create a digital folder where you save:

  • Certificates

  • Volunteer logs

  • Awards

  • Essays you’re proud of

  • Photos of projects

  • Running list of activities

Update it every few months instead of waiting until senior year.

When opportunities appear, you'll spend less time searching for documents and more time submitting strong applications before deadlines.

SUCCESS-ID TIP 💬

Save it the same day. Every time you earn an award, complete volunteer hours, or finish a project you're proud of, add it to your Success Folder before the day ends. Future you will thank you.
